Pet Adoption Watch

Give it the adoption pages of the shelters and rescues you would adopt from, and a few words for the animal you are looking for. Each week it reads every page, and tells you of each animal there that fits - each one once.

Pet Adoption Watch explained 🔰
  • It follows up to 5 adoption pages of the shelters and rescues you would adopt from, and tells you of each animal on them that fits what you are looking for.
  • You enter up to 3 short phrases for the animal you want - one that fits any of them counts - and the public web address of each adoption page. Your consent is asked once, before your first save.
  • Each read of a page counts the animals it lists and picks out those that fit, each with its name, its kind, a few words about it and a link to its own listing when the page has one. A page whose words did not change since its last read keeps what that read found.
  • Each animal is told once while you follow its page, and a new one is marked as new. Post to Social shows on a run only once you switch posting on here - it starts off.
  • How often: a new or changed page - and every page after you change your phrases - is read at the next hourly run if your limits allow it. Saving never brings a run sooner than 6 hours after the last one started. After that it looks once a day and reads each page once a week.
  • Run now starts a run by hand, once a day across all your loops, and only while none of them is in the middle of a run. Your loops also share a spending limit; a run it holds back waits for its next turn.
  • If 3 runs in a row fail, the loop pauses. Resume starts it again.
  • A daily email sums up what your loops found - one email a day, and only on a day one of them found something. It is on until you switch it off - on a loop's page once the loop is part of your plan, or, if your plan includes Loops, on your dashboard.
  • What it is not: word that an animal is still waiting. An animal can find a home between reads, and a page can be misunderstood, so check with the shelter or rescue before you go.
  • To stop it, use Remove your adoption pages. Its past runs are kept.
