Application Coach

Choose a job post or paste one - a link from many company career pages works too - and Application Coach writes a resume and a cover letter for it from your Talent Profile, every line traced to what your profile says. Keep the applications you send here: one still waiting 7 days later has a follow-up ready for you to send from your own email.

Application Coach explained 🔰
  • It writes a resume and a cover letter for one job post from your Talent Profile on EDM Jobs, and keeps up to 30 applications you send, with a follow-up ready for each one that goes quiet.
  • You give the post: one you chose on EDM Jobs, a link to it, or its words pasted with the job's title. Links from many company career pages can be read here. For a post on any other site, paste its text instead. The newest Talent Profile you saved is read for you.
  • Each request writes a short summary for your resume and the body of your letter. Every line names the parts of your profile it comes from; a line that names none, shares no word with them, gives a number they do not hold or says something personal about you is left out before you see it, and the page says how many were. Your skills, certificates and education are written exactly as your profile holds them.
  • A post that asks you to write your application yourself gets nothing written - the page tells you so, and the choice is yours.
  • Your applications: opening the employer's site of an EDM Jobs post from what was written adds it to your list, and for any other you tap I applied. 7 days after you applied - or after your last follow-up - with no word, a follow-up filled in from your list is ready for you to send from your own email. Mark it sent, and the next 7 days start.
  • How often: a new or changed list is taken up at the next hourly run if your limits allow it. Saving never brings a run sooner than 6 hours after the last one started. After that your applications are looked at once a day, and a run costs nothing. Each request to write counts toward your plan's requests for the day and your limits.
  • Run now starts a run by hand, once a day across all your loops, and only while none of them is in the middle of a run. Your loops also share a spending limit; a run it holds back waits for its next turn.
  • If 3 runs in a row fail, the loop pauses. Resume starts it again.
  • A daily email sums up what your loops found - one email a day, and only on a day one of them found something. It is on until you switch it off - on a loop's page once the loop is part of your plan, or, if your plan includes Loops, on your dashboard.
  • What it does not do: apply for you, contact an employer, or send anything. You read every line, change what you need to, and send it yourself. Your notifications and the daily email count your follow-ups and never name an employer; only this page does.
  • To stop it, use Remove your applications. Your list is deleted, and its past runs and what was written for you are kept.
