Bid Finder
Tell it what you sell and where. Each week it searches the web for public tenders and requests for proposals that fit, tells you of each one once - who is buying and when bids are due, when the notice says - and reminds you a week before a bid is due, again the day before, and on the day.
Bid Finder explained 🔰
- It finds public tenders and requests for proposals that fit what you sell in the region you work in, tells you of each one once, and reminds you before each bid is due.
- You enter up to 3 short descriptions of what you sell, each up to 200 characters, and your region - a country, a state or a city.
- Each search looks on the web for notices published since the last whole search - a month back the first time, and again after you change your words - and keeps only open notices for what you sell, in your region. Up to 6 new ones a run are listed, each linked, with who is buying and when bids are due where the notice says so; any more follow with the next run.
- Reminders: each due date is told 7 days ahead, the day before and on the day, once each. A notice that gives no due date is told once and not reminded.
- How often: new or changed words are searched at the next hourly run if your limits allow it. Saving never brings a run sooner than 6 hours after the last one started. After that it runs once a day for the reminders and searches the web once a week; a run in between, by hand too, only tells the due dates already found. A search that did not finish is tried again a day later, then at longer gaps.
- Run now starts a run by hand, once a day across all your loops, and only while none of them is in the middle of a run. Your loops also share a spending limit; a run it holds back waits for its next turn.
- If 3 runs in a row fail, the loop pauses. Resume starts it again.
- A daily email sums up what your loops found - one email a day, and only on a day one of them found something. It is on until you switch it off - on a loop's page once the loop is part of your plan, or, if your plan includes Loops, on your dashboard.
- What it is not: a full register. A notice on a site that needs a sign-in is never found, and a due date is the notice's own words - read the buyer's notice before you bid. What it finds is for you alone and never becomes a Grow lead, and no email address or phone number from a notice is kept.
- To stop it, use Remove what you sell. Its reminders stop, and its past runs are kept.
