Paste a product listing - its title and description - and see what a shopper or a search result may miss: a title that is cut short or shouts, a description that leaves questions open, too few photos, claims nothing backs. Each with what to change.
Commerce Optimizer explained 🔰
- It checks one product listing - a title of up to 200 characters, a description of up to 10000 and, if you say, how many photos it shows.
- The title: under 20 characters it names too little, past 70 it is often cut; mostly capitals, selling words or a word said 3 times or more are flagged too.
- The description: under 50 words, with no figure, saying nothing of delivery or returns, making claims without proof, in one long block or in long sentences.
- The photos: fewer than 3 are flagged; leave the count empty and they are not checked.
- Keep a list of your own store's product pages - up to 10, on up to 3 websites - and each is read again once a week from EDM's own servers, as a search engine reads it: its title, description and photos, its price, whether it says it is in stock and images with no description. You are told only what is new.
- How often: a list you save is first read at the next hourly run if your limits allow it, then once a week. Saving never brings a run sooner than 6 hours after the last one started.
- Run now checks your list by hand, once a day across all your loops, and only while none of them is in the middle of a run. If 3 checks in a row do not finish, the list pauses, and saving it again starts it over. To stop it, remove your list; what earlier checks found is kept.
- Who sees it: nobody but you. The check above runs on your own device and sends or saves nothing. A list you keep is saved with your account; a page's words are read for its check and not kept, and no page goes to any other service.
- What it does not do: change anything on your pages, rewrite your listing for you, guess your sales, or keep what you paste in the check above.
