Compliance
Follow up to 5 official pages that set rules for your business, such as a regulator's rules page or a state's tax notices. Each week a run reads them, says what changed since the last run, and looks for news of new rules in your field. A run compares the first 6,000 characters of each page's text, so a change further down a long page is not seen.
Compliance explained 🔰
- It follows the official pages you choose - up to 5, such as a regulator's rules page or a state's tax notices - and tells you when one of them changes in a way that may concern your business.
- You enter what your business does and where, and the web address of each page.
- Each run compares the first 6,000 characters of each page's text with the last reading, so a change further down a long page is not seen. A change that may concern you is marked with its kind - a new rule, a deadline or a fee, for instance - and up to 3 a run get a short note on what changed. The run also searches the web and lists up to 3 news items about new rules in your field.
- How often: new or changed pages are read at the next hourly run if your limits allow it, then once a week. Saving never brings a run sooner than 6 hours after the last one started. The first reading of a page only records it, so changes show from the second run on.
- Run now starts a run by hand, once a day across all your loops, and only while none of them is in the middle of a run. Your loops also share a spending limit; a run it holds back waits for its next turn.
- If 3 runs in a row fail, the loop pauses. Saving it again starts it again.
- A daily email sums up what your loops found - one email a day, and only on a day one of them found something. It is on until you switch it off - on a loop's page once the loop is part of your plan, or, if your plan includes Loops, on your dashboard.
- What it is not: legal or tax advice. It cannot tell you whether your business is compliant - check anything that matters with the authority that published it or with a qualified professional.
- To stop it, use Stop following. Your business and pages are removed, and its past runs are kept.
