Gift Planner
Keep the people you give to, their birthdays and other days, and what you want to spend. Two weeks before each day you are told, with a few gift ideas inside your budget.
Gift Planner explained 🔰
- It plans the gifts you give - for up to 30 days, such as birthdays and anniversaries - and tells you of each day 14 days before it comes, with ideas that fit your budget.
- You enter each person's name and a note on what they like, and for each day what it is, its date, whether it comes every year and what you want to spend. Keep in Touch works from this same list of people.
- Each run looks for days coming up within 14 days that it has not told yet, and tells each one once. The first 5 of them get 3 gift ideas each, drawn only from your note, and none priced above your budget; any more that run, or a day whose ideas could not be written, are tried once more at a later run while the day is still ahead, without being told again.
- How often: new or changed days are taken up at the next hourly run if your limits allow it, and after that your list is looked at once a day.
- Run now starts a run by hand, once a day across all your loops, and only while none of them is in the middle of a run. Your loops also share a spending limit; a run it holds back waits for its next turn.
- If 3 runs in a row fail, the loop pauses. Resume starts it again.
- A daily email sums up what your loops found - one email a day, and only on a day one of them found something. It is on until you switch it off - on a loop's page once the loop is part of your plan, or, if your plan includes Loops, on your dashboard.
- What it does not do: shop for you. An idea names no shop or website and carries no link - where to buy is yours to choose.
- To stop it, use Remove your list. Its days are deleted, the people Keep in Touch follows stay on its list, and its past runs are kept.
