Prospect Research
List the companies you want to sell to, up to 20. Each one is researched from its own site and the web into a short brief: what it does, what is happening there now, what bears on your offer, and a line to open with.
For now, Prospect Research researches companies only, from their own site and the web. It does not research the people who work there.
Prospect Research explained 🔰
- It researches the companies you want to sell to - up to 20 - and writes a short brief on each: what the company does, what is happening there now, what bears on your offer, and a line to open with.
- You enter what you offer, and each company's name and website.
- Each company is read from up to 5 pages of its own site and from a web search for its news, funding, hiring, launches, partnerships and reviews. The brief comes with up to 6 of those web sources, each linked.
- How often: a new or changed list is taken up at the next hourly run if your limits allow it, then once a day while a company waits for its turn - one company a run, in the order of your list. Saving never brings a run sooner than 6 hours after the last one started. Each company is researched once; to research one again, remove it and save, then add it back and save.
- Run now starts a run by hand, once a day across all your loops, and only while none of them is in the middle of a run. Your loops also share a spending limit; a run it holds back waits for its next turn.
- If 3 runs in a row fail, the loop pauses. Saving it again starts it again.
- A daily email sums up what your loops found - one email a day, and only on a day one of them found something. It is on until you switch it off - on a loop's page once the loop is part of your plan, or, if your plan includes Loops, on your dashboard.
- What it does not do: research people. It reads about companies and builds no profile of anyone who works there, though a news item it lists may name someone, as the news did.
- To stop it, use Remove this list. Its past runs are kept.
