Recall Watch

List the vehicles, products, foods and medicines you own. Each week a run reads the official U.S. recall lists and tells you of a new recall that may concern one of them.

Recall Watch explained 🔰
  • It tells you of new recalls that may concern up to 20 things you own - vehicles, products, foods and medicines.
  • You enter a vehicle by its make, model and model year, a product or a food by its brand and name, and a medicine by its name and strength - or use Read a label or a sticker to fill them in from a photo, for you to check before you save. Vehicles you gave your other loops are offered in a tap. Your consent is asked once before you save a medicine or read a label from a photo.
  • Each run reads the official recall lists for vehicles, consumer products, food and medicines, and the list of recalls of products for animals for each foodand each medicine you mark as a pet's. A vehicle's first run lists every recall of its make, model and year. A product, food or medicine is held against the recalls posted lately - those of the last 30 days on a first run, never back to when you bought it - and each possible match is checked against what you own before it is told.
  • Each recall is told once, with the risk, what to do and the official notice - for a vehicle, any warning not to drive it or to park it outside, and for a medicine, the lots the notice names. Its notices never name a medicine.
  • How often: a new or changed list is read at the next hourly run if your limits allow it. Saving never brings a run sooner than 6 hours after the last one started. After that the recall lists are read once a week.
  • Run now starts a run by hand, once a day across all your loops, and only while none of them is in the middle of a run. Your loops also share a spending limit; a run it holds back waits for its next turn.
  • If 3 runs in a row fail, the loop pauses. Resume starts it again.
  • A daily email sums up what your loops found - one email a day, and only on a day one of them found something. It is on until you switch it off - on a loop's page once the loop is part of your plan, or, if your plan includes Loops, on your dashboard.
  • What it is not: proof that anything is safe. A recall on none of the lists it reads, or one that names your item in other words, is missed - and for a medicine it never says what to take or whether to stop.
  • To stop it, use Remove your list. Its past runs are kept.
