School Days
Give it your school's calendar page. Each week it reads the page and lists the days off, early dismissals and school events, and tells you of each one ahead, again the day before, and on the day.
School Days explained 🔰
- It follows your school's calendar - up to 3 calendar pages on the schools' own websites - and reminds you of the days off, early dismissals, late starts and school events listed there.
- You enter each school's name and the address of its calendar page, and how far ahead to be told - 1 to 14 days.
- Each page is read once a week. When its words changed since the last read - or a full list of its days is running out - the first 24,000 characters of its text are read for dated days - of a PDF calendar, its first page only - and the soonest 40 are kept.
- Each run tells each day found when it comes inside your lead, the day before and on the day, once each. A new or changed list is taken up at the next hourly run if your limits allow it. Saving never brings a run sooner than 6 hours after the last one started. After that it runs once a day, from 5 am on your clock.
- Run now starts a run by hand, once a day across all your loops, and only while none of them is in the middle of a run. Your loops also share a spending limit; a run it holds back waits for its next turn.
- If 3 runs in a row fail, the loop pauses. Resume starts it again.
- A daily email sums up what your loops found - one email a day, and only on a day one of them found something. It is on until you switch it off - on a loop's page once the loop is part of your plan, or, if your plan includes Loops, on your dashboard.
- What it is not: the school's word. It tells only what it could read on the page - a calendar it cannot read gives no days - so the school's notices decide.
- To stop it, use Remove your calendar pages. Its past runs are kept.
