Stock Count
Photograph your shelves and stockroom once a week, check the counts read from the photos, and set a reorder level for each product. On your reorder day you are told what is running low. Photograph after hours, when no staff or customers are in the picture.
Stock Count explained 🔰
- It keeps your shop's stock list - each product's count and the level you reorder it at - and tells you on your reorder day what is running low.
- You enter up to 100 products in up to 10 areas, each with its size or pack, its count and its reorder level, the day you count and the day you reorder. Your business's name and website can be filled in from the business page you claimed on EDM Grow.
- Photos into counts: up to 3 photos of one area at a time are read into a count for each product, a 12 oz and a 16 oz kept apart. Each count shows the photo it is in, and one that two readings did not agree on, that only one of them found, or that was listed more than once and added up, is marked "check this one". Nothing changes on your list until you check the counts and save. Photograph after hours, when no staff or customers are in the picture.
- Each run tells you, on your count day, that it is time to count, and on your reorder day, each product at or under its reorder level - each once a day.
- How often: a new or changed list is read at the next hourly run if your limits allow it. Saving never brings a run sooner than 6 hours after the last one started. After that it runs once a day.
- Run now starts a run by hand, once a day across all your loops, and only while none of them is in the middle of a run. Your loops also share a spending limit; a run it holds back waits for its next turn.
- If 3 runs in a row fail, the loop pauses. Resume starts it again.
- A daily email sums up what your loops found - one email a day, and only on a day one of them found something. It is on until you switch it off - on a loop's page once the loop is part of your plan, or, if your plan includes Loops, on your dashboard.
- What it does not do: count what the photos do not show - stock behind the front row, in closed boxes or out of the picture - or order anything for you. You check every count and place every order yourself.
- To stop it, use Remove your stock list. Its past runs are kept.
