Each run reads the news, forums, reviews and research published on each topic since the last run that read them all - a month back for a first run or after your topics change - then lists what looks new or growing, by kind, with a short write-up.
Trend Finder explained 🔰
- It follows 1 to 3 topics - your market, your product, your customers - and lists early signs of what looks new or growing in them.
- You enter each topic in a sentence: a market, a product or a kind of customer, and what about it you follow.
- Each run searches the web for news, forums, reviews and research published on each topic since the last full run - a month back for a first run, or after you change your topics. It lists up to 6 signals per topic, each with its kind - demand, products, competitors, investment, culture or rules - a link and its date when known, then a short write-up.
- How often: new or changed topics are read at the next hourly run if your limits allow it, then once a week. Saving never brings a run sooner than 6 hours after the last one started. A run soon after another may find little that is new.
- Run now starts a run by hand, once a day across all your loops, and only while none of them is in the middle of a run. Your loops also share a spending limit; a run it holds back waits for its next turn.
- If 3 runs in a row fail, the loop pauses. Saving it again starts it again.
- A daily email sums up what your loops found - one email a day, and only on a day one of them found something. It is on until you switch it off - on a loop's page once the loop is part of your plan, or, if your plan includes Loops, on your dashboard.
- What it is not: a forecast. It reports early signs in what was published on the web.
- To stop it, use Remove your topics. Its past runs are kept.
