Daily Reading
Choose a scripture and a plan, and the day you start. Daily Reading gives you each day's passage by its reference, counts the days you tick as read, and shows how far through the plan you are. When a plan ends, it starts again from the beginning.
Daily Reading explained 🔰
- It gives you each day's passage of the scripture and plan you choose - the Bhagavad Gita, the Bible, the Dhammapada, the Guru Granth Sahib, the Quran or the Torah, offered alike in alphabetical order.
- You give your plan, the day you start and - for the Bhagavad Gita and the Dhammapada - how many verses a day, from 1 to 20.
- References only: each day's passage is its book, chapter, verses or ang - never its words - so you read it in your own book or app, in the translation you choose.
- Each run works out the week's passages once a week, or sooner when you change your plan, and tells you today's. Tick Done today or Done yesterday - a tick is recorded at once and starts no run - and your streak counts the days you keep up. The line above today's passage says how far through the plan you are; when a plan ends, it starts again from the beginning.
- How often: once a day, from 5 am on your clock. A new or changed plan is taken up at the next hourly run if your limits allow it. Saving never brings a run sooner than 6 hours after the last one started.
- Run now starts a run by hand, once a day across all your loops, and only while none of them is in the middle of a run. Your loops also share a spending limit; a run it holds back waits for its next turn.
- If 3 runs in a row fail, the loop pauses. Resume starts it again.
- A daily email sums up what your loops found - one email a day, and only on a day one of them found something. It is on until you switch it off - on a loop's page once the loop is part of your plan, or, if your plan includes Loops, on your dashboard.
- Anyone can see a plan's reading for any day, with no account - worked out in their browser, nothing kept.
- To stop it, use Remove your reading plan. Your plan and your ticks are deleted. Its past runs are deleted with it, and each is kept 90 days at most.
