Sleep Diary

Each morning, log when you went to bed, when you got up and how long you lay awake. Each week, see your nights in numbers - your time asleep, how much of your time in bed was sleep, and how steady your mornings were.

Sleep Diary explained 🔰
  • It keeps a diary of your nights - when you went to bed, when you got up and how long you lay awake - and sums up each week in numbers.
  • You enter each morning the two times and, if you like, the minutes you lay awake, under Woke up today or Woke up yesterday - a night is recorded at once and starts no run. The form starts from your last night, so steady hours take one tap.
  • Each run looks at a week ending the day before yesterday - yesterday's morning can still be logged, so it counts in the next week: your average time in bed, your average time asleep, how much of your time in bed was sleep, and how far your wake times spread.
  • How often: once a week. Saving never brings a run sooner than 6 hours after the last one started.
  • Run now starts a run by hand, once a day across all your loops, and only while none of them is in the middle of a run. Your loops also share a spending limit; a run it holds back waits for its next turn.
  • If 3 runs in a row fail, the loop pauses. Resume starts it again.
  • A daily email sums up what your loops found - one email a day, and only on a day one of them found something. It is on until you switch it off - on a loop's page once the loop is part of your plan, or, if your plan includes Loops, on your dashboard.
  • What it does not do: judge a night, diagnose or treat anything, or set you a sleep window. Your notifications and the daily email give only how many nights you logged - never a time or a figure of your week. If poor sleep lasts for weeks, talk to a doctor.
  • What it keeps: your nights for 90 days, for you alone. To stop it, use Remove Sleep Diary. Your nights are deleted. Its past runs are deleted with it, and each is kept 90 days at most.
