Account Checkup

List the accounts that matter to you - your email, your bank, a social network, a shop - by the service's name alone. Each week it gives you the steps to secure the first one not done yet: a second sign-in step, a passkey or a unique password, and your recovery details. Mark it done, and the next run moves on to the next. It never asks for a password or a login, and never signs in for you.

Account Checkup explained 🔰
  • One account a week: it takes the accounts you list, in your order, and gives you the steps to secure the first one not done yet - turn on a second sign-in step, add a passkey or set a password you use nowhere else, and check your recovery email and phone.
  • You enter up to 20 accounts by the service's name alone - never a password, a login or an email address. A name that reads like one is never looked up or sent anywhere.
  • The steps come only from the service's own help pages, each with where it comes from. Open the service's own app, or type its address yourself - never follow a link in a message to sign in.
  • Mark it done once its steps are taken: the next run moves on to your next account, and tells you how many are secured so far.
  • Shared, never yours alone: a service's steps are read once a month and shared with everyone who asks about the same service - nothing about you or your accounts is in them.
  • How often: new or changed accounts are read at the next hourly run if your limits allow it, then once a week. Saving never brings a run sooner than 6 hours after the last one started.
  • Run now starts a run by hand, once a day across all your loops, and only while none of them is in the middle of a run. Your loops also share a spending limit; a run it holds back waits for its next turn.
  • If 3 runs in a row fail, the loop pauses. Resume starts it again.
  • A daily email sums up what your loops found - one email a day, and only on a day one of them found something. It is on until you switch it off - on a loop's page once the loop is part of your plan, or, if your plan includes Loops, on your dashboard.
  • To stop it, use Remove your accounts. Its past runs are kept.
