Refund Rights

List the problems with what you bought - a faulty product, a service done badly, a wrong utility bill or a late delivery. Every week it tells you the usual rules and steps for your country, and the dates to act, counted from your day. It covers 170 of 246 countries, each one in the country list below. Legal information, not legal advice - every step shows where it comes from. For advice on your case, ask a lawyer or a consumer advice service.

Refund Rights explained 🔰
  • It finds the usual rules for your kind of problem in your country - returning a product, a repair, a replacement or a refund, and where to complain - each step with the public page it comes from.
  • You enter your country and up to 10 cases - what happened in your own words, its kind, the seller if you like, and the day you bought it or the problem began. Only your country and the kind are ever sent anywhere; your words, the seller and your day stay with us.
  • The dates: each time limit a source states is counted from your day, on our side. A date within 14 days comes first, then one within 60 days.
  • Shared, never yours alone: the rules for a country and a kind are read once a month and shared with everyone who asks the same - nothing about you or your cases is in them. Up to 3 are looked up a run, the rest on the next.
  • How often: new or changed cases are read at the next hourly run if your limits allow it, then once a week, with a reminder until you remove the case. Saving never brings a run sooner than 6 hours after the last one started.
  • Run now starts a run by hand, once a day across all your loops, and only while none of them is in the middle of a run. Your loops also share a spending limit; a run it holds back waits for its next turn.
  • If 3 runs in a row fail, the loop pauses. Resume starts it again.
  • A daily email sums up what your loops found - one email a day, and only on a day one of them found something. It is on until you switch it off - on a loop's page once the loop is part of your plan, or, if your plan includes Loops, on your dashboard.
  • To stop it, use Remove your cases. Its past runs are kept.
  • Legal information, not legal advice - every step shows where it comes from. For advice on your case, ask a lawyer or a consumer advice service.
